I got it here

Mustangs Unlimited - The Premier Source for Mustang, Shelby and Cougar Parts and Accessories

The pic is not actual though, atleast that's not what I got when I ordered it. What did come for me was the aluminum tube you saw on my stang and the blue rubber thing that was on my intake manifold. Also a pair of straps to hold it in place. It also came with air filter but I didn't use it due to my factory air box.

In the end I just removed it all because of issues with my MAF.

Oh so did you not see a performance gain? I did when I removed the stock intake but as I said before it caused me problems afterward.

Default Thinking about it

1993 2.3 LX Vert: I want to do it, but I am wondering what bad effects it might have further on down the road.

For me, the idle seemed higher. As well as I lost the sound of my Flowmaster at 1800 RPMS.

Removed the little baffle and the sky didn't fall. It sounds better and moves a little faster, now for a turbo, watch out all you little rice burners in the neighborhood.

There are only two ways that you can make a 4 sound like muscle. First, replace it with a V8. Second, record the sound of a V8 Mustang and play it while your driving.

Removing it will allow the engine to breath better. Will not make a giant impovement on a stock engine but will definitely help a motor highly modified to breath better with ported heads/intakes and a decent exhaust system.

Removing the intake silencer will give you a small noticeable acceleration improvement.
