I just unplugged it. Got the info from a dude on the net. Had a site on free 2.3 mods. Only turbo's absolutely need a knock sensor. Make sure the motor is not detonating and unplug it.

At the risk of sounding like a dee dee dee, what does "half shaft the TB" mean? I know what TB stands for, I'm not that dense, I just don't know what it means to "half shaft" it.

It means disassembling the throttle body and taking the shaft that the throttle or butterfly plates mount to and shaving "half" the shaft off so that when the shaft and valves are assembled, there is only "half the shaft" restricting airflow when you look at the assembly edge on. Trick is shaving the correct side so you don't shave off the side that the screws thread into!

Hope this helps. Pony on~

Thanks for the explanation. I took off the intake silencer earlier today. Ya know, it's funny, I knew something wasn't right with that black tube, I just hadn't gotten around to taking it off and looking at it until I started reading about it yesterday. I used the 3" exhaust pipe, and cut it down to size with a hacksaw. It looks good as is, so I didn't even bother with paint. I don't feel this big huge difference, but that's probably cuz she needs some new spark plugs and wires. Oh, and do I have to get any special plugs, or can I get 8 normal plugs? (I'm asking cuz I've never heard of the 8 plug 4 cyl. before)

The original peice (air silencer) is plastic, so I don't see why there would be any issues with a plastic PVC pipe. I don't have my car anymore, but I ran it with the PVC for at least 2 years with no cracking or any problems.
