Default 1988 Lx Mustang Starting Problems Any Suggestions?

My 88 Lx is not trying to start.
it started and ran before i got the plug wires mixed up. this happened about 3 times(tried to start it each time)I now have the firing order right but it still sounds like its wrong when i try to start it. any idea of what i could of done..I think i could have jumped timing off is this a possibility..if so how do i get my timing back to normal with out it starting?
Should i set the motor at TDC and see if the timings off? If it is do i just move the distributer until it wants to turn over then hit it with a timing light?

I'm beginning to think you're your own worst enemy.

Are you sure you've got the right firing order? 1-3-4-2
Are you counting the cylinders front(1) to back(4)?

Are you double sure that #1 on the dist cap is really #1?

If all you did was take the exhaust manifold off and change the oil, there's no way it could have jumped time, unless you took everything off the front of the motor to get to the front exhaust manifold bolt

You really need a manual.
