84 svo hood on a 1990?

I was wondering if I could put an 84 SVO hood on my 90 stang? I found an 84 SVO parts car that was rear ended but the whole frontend is good Im gonna swap the engine and trans but wanted 2 know what else I could pull off and use thanks

I'm not sure that the body lines around the front will match up since the svo has a sharper edge along the front and possible shaper angle where it angles down over the radiator opening.

I could be wrong...I was just looking at pics of both types of cars.

BUT if you are willing to do more work you could replace the bumper covers and the moldings and headlights and have what would look like a SVO that would have been made in '90 with the newer quarter widows. That's a lot more work though.

There may still be aftermarket hoods for your year with the svo scoop.

I actualy hope it will fit because that would be pretty cool and unique.

ha sweet I'm not worried about extra work I have time (might as well spend the time and do it right the first time huh), thanks. do u know of anyone that makes a coilover kit?

I was just at the UPR products site before this and they have a coil over kit. Actualy there are quite a few. If you don't get 5.0l Mustang or Muscle Mustangs magazines go to the store and pick one up. Or scan though it. There should be adds throughout that have them... I don't know all that much about the difference between brands or all that much about them though.

They sound pretty neat. And at least on some if not all you can adjust ride hight.

I have just ordered UPR springs for my 89' 2.3l coupe... $150.00!

Lowers the car 1.3"-1.6" Pretty good price. They are made by Eibach and I hope that they are basicly like Eibach ProKit Springs which can usualy be found online for $220-240. We'll see what I get. I plan on ordering some KYB gas shocks also.

Should make my coupe sit just right 17" X 9" 5 lug Polished cobra R's I found for $150. (I had to file and sand the lips because of some curbing and Polish them a ton)
