Question 1992 Mustang 2.3L EGR Valve. Remove or keep?

So my EGR valve pipe on my '92 has a hole in it, should I attempt to get a replacement, or just remove it.

Searches have found that a few have just pulled it out, but others say it causes other problems.

The check engine light will bother u but functionally nothing wrong with taking it out. Also if it has the smog pump and piping take it all off and get a shorter belt. Just make sure you block off all of the holes with plates.

I see, thanks for the reply I think I am just gonna rip er out. and cap it, seems cost effective. Also, I dont think I have a smog pump.
