Question When setting TPS, how do you reset computer on 1989 Mustang 2.3L?

Apparently when setting the TPS, you need to reset the computer each time you make an adjustment/turn the idle screw so I need to be able to reset the FI computer on an 89 mustang LX 2.3 N/A. What is the easiest, fastest, and safest way to do this?

Disconnect the battery for 15 minutes. Then let it idle for 5 minutes to learn the computers codes. Some people say to turn the headlights on whenthe battery is disconnected..I guess as a sure way to make sure all the power is out.

Unless you have access to a scantool of some sort, Julian's correct, that's your easiest way. If you do have access to a scantool, use the "clear codes" function (may have a different name depending on brand of tool) to do so.
