Default 1988 Lx not getting proper fuel

My fuel pump has just started whining bad when i turn the car on. and it seems like im getting a mojor lack of fuel to the motor or alot of misfire even when driving it hesitates bad? Could the hesitation and lack of aceleration and lack of fuel be from the TPS ?

almost sounds like the rubber line in the tank that goes from the pump to the line out has a hole in it, I would check out the pump but put on a new filter first and see if that helps. Also get a gauge and check and see i the fuel pressure regulator is ok.

Like I said also your fuel pressure regulator may be bad also, but 9 out of 10 times the pump is bad also keep at least a quarter of a tank of fuel keeping it under a quarter will eventually burn up the pump because the fuel is the coolant for the pump. U should be able to get one cheap on ebay.
