Swapped the cam in my 2.3 to the roller ranger cam and discovered that the old cam was almost 180 off. I dont know how it ran!! Than and the timing belt was really loose so it may have been just slipping.
How do you know where to time the intermediate shaft to? I left the carnk at TDC at the cover pointer, aligned the dot on the cam to the marker, but where do you align the dot on the intermediate shaft?

the intermediate shaft dosent need to to timed, but you do need to line up the dist rotor to point a hair past #1 plug wire in normal fireing order rotation , big G
