Default What should the voltage be...

... on the Back of the fuel gauge when the tank is full? Im trying to figure this out to diagnose the sending unit or the gauge as faulty on mine.

so far:
1987 hatchback mustang
2.3L, replaced to a '89
Air silencer removed
t-5 all the way
1400 watt sound system w/ twin 12" chrome subs
-The shadow runner was a legendary chinese horse that could outrun its own shadow[/size]

if you ground the wire to sending unit at tank, gauge should go full, unplug it goes empty, i think its the yellow wire with white stripe, most likely bad sender, if stuck on emply some times the brass float sinks and can just get a new one, let us know, big G

well what mine does is it stays at full most of the time. then sometimes, usually after some time. it will creep down the the acutal level, then on occasion it works perfectly, i know b/c of estimations based on mileage (300 miles start lookin for gas, 320 ur skrewed)
