I just purchased a pretty beat up 1992 2.3 lx convertible. It almost made it home, I only had to push the last 60 feet or so of a 30 mile trip. I checked all the obvious stuff( fuel pump, fuel filter replaced, checked all vacuum routing and connections, new ignition control module, removed and inspected the EGR, checked all fuses, wiring connections, etc). I tested the codes and came up with 111 ?? reference shows that code as all good?? The car ran bad but able to negotiate traffic for the first 20 miles and then started to loose power gradually untill I had to pull over . I then shut it off and it cranked right back up and gave me a few more miles . I then drove the last few miles intermittantly throwing it in neutral and turning off the ignition and back on again but each time the window got smaller and smaller. I noticed the tach acting erratically a few times. THANKS FOR ANY HELP.

when my ign mod was going out it made my tach jump ? and not all spark plug wires sparking ,changed mod all ok, when the crank sensor goes it just dies, may restart/ big G

Have you checked the compression?

Could also be a stopped up converter.....
