Hmmm...
Bang for the buck parts...
50 Ranger header
100 Ranger roler cam and roller followers (better cam with less wasted power driving it)
100-300 Exhaust (2" or possibly 2.25" and remove cats or gut them, better flowing muffler than the OLD original)
50-100 PVC Cold air induction with high flow filter
That's all that I can think of that's "cheap". I'd think this would get you 15 - 20 HP.
Bigger budget:
Port head or esslinger head etc.
Nitrous
With more money you could do a variety of things but without money for a good aftermarket cam, headwork, programming etc you are kind of stuck, at least with the efi setup. I'd say either go turbo with a little bigger budget, or stay NA and stick to these budget items since the extra cost of an aftermarket header, cams etc aren't realy worth it unless you get all the parts to support it. Basicaly they will be bottle necked by other engine components.
Well if you have a Dual PlUG Head and enough cash you could get a roller cam. they aren't cheap(200-300) from racer walsh, esslinger or another major cam manufacturer. Just don't got too big. Maybe the #1 Racer walsh cam.
So sleeper, hows the stang comming? Any new mods or are you still planning on doing the turbo? If the turbo is what you are doing is it in sight or way off?
I like to see your progress and am inpressed with your mechanical ability and willingness to get your hands in there and try it out. By the way...When will you be paining that thing?

Its coming good, just rotated my tires (bold ones are on the back now) I plan on putting a turbo on it this winter if I find a 2.3 turbo, if not I'm going to try and start a mini stock project (2.3 N/A power)
If you want to see my progress then check out my cardomain or my website (freewebs.com/sleeper-inc)
I'm not to bad when it comes to working with my hands (not bad for a 15 year old anyways)
I hope to have it painted by the end of summer

The sad thing is, with 15 PSI, straight back exhaust, and a bobs log, it still feels slow...
Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster
I'd like to know where these $50 Ranger headers are. The ones that I have found are in the $160-170 range.

Ranger header can SOMETIMES be found on 1994 ish rangers. If you find one at a wrecking yard expect to pay $40-65. I've seen them go for 80-120 on ebay.
