Question Help with Transmission swap plz!!

ok i have a 1988 mustang 5.0l with a Aod and it sucks!. ive been looking around for a while and i cant find a T-5 out of a 5.0L mustang. my friend has a tranny out of a 2.3l SVO turbo (thats what we think it is because it looks like it has a factory hurst shifter) and i was told that the 85' 2.3l turbos had a factory hurst shifter ?.. the bellhousing looks the same but i did notice the inputshaft is smaller so i had a sleeve made up to take up the slack in the pilot bearing. i also have a flywheel out of an 85' mustang 5.0l and clutch kit for a 85' 5.0. the only thing im worried about is the gearing?? and if the tranny will hold up to the 302??(fully stock 302 btw) any ideas?????tips???? should i use this tranny or is it better to keep looking ?????

The gearing is lower in that transmission for the 4 banger, but that will help the V8 with acceleration. The SVO mad more HP then the V8 back then so it should hold fin (lots of people using the 4 banger N/A t-5)

This T-5 is like any T-5, just a different gear ratio, and a smaller inputshaft

The sad thing is, with 15 PSI, straight back exhaust, and a bobs log, it still feels slow...

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster

It's not as strong as the V8 T5, but it's stronger than the N/A T5 if that helps... the V8 T5 wasn't strong enough for a stock 5.0 if there was any serious driving involved (nor was the AOD) so I'd be "nice" to that 2.3turbo T5 and not abuse it, then you shouldn't have any problems.
