Angry 1978 mustang 2.3 Timing question

Where is the distributor lock nut? I spent 2 hours looking for it where my cars manual showed and found nothing.

Should be the bolt closest to the block, right behind the distributer.

Feel around, you'll find it

The sad thing is, with 15 PSI, straight back exhaust, and a bobs log, it still feels slow...

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster

It's there, directly behind the distributor (can't even see it on some 2.3s) on top of a little tab or bracket against the block that locks down the distributor.

1976 Ford Mustang II Ghia: 302 with a 600cfm Edelbrock carb, Edelbrock Performer 289 intake, Dynomax Blackjack headers, 2.5" exhaust with Flowmaster Super 44s. RJS 11-gallon fuel cell, C4 tranny, chrome 16" pony wheels, fuzzy dice, brown vinyl half-top, and painted in the tackiest color ever (harvest gold, that's why I call it "The Goldenrod").

Also have a 2003 Dodge Ram (lightly modded daily driver/tow rig/office/dining room/home away from home/workshop... I call it "The Big Blue Dawg".)

Thanx, didn't think it was that bolt, thought it was a mounting bolt.
