Help please. I am shopping for a used control module for my 1991 Mustang with the 2.3L Vin M engine. The car has a 4 speed automatic and factory installed cruise control. Will a module from a car without automatic and/or cruise work on my car?

It should, it doesn't control any of those functions from my knowledge

You're also not limited to Mustangs. 90-95 or 96 Rangers also use the same module.

The module doesn't know and doesn't care which transmission, or options the car has.

are the modules on the ranger in the same place as on the mustang?? and i know you can use the ones off the 94 mazda b2300...does anyone else know what other years and and what other cars have the same module??

Same engine, same place. Even the B2300 has the same engine.

thanx for the help. nothing in the wreckers at all so i bought a new module from RockAuto on ebay.
