Default 2.3L Auto - Trouble Starting and Shifting please help

So i'm trying to figure out what is wrong with my girlfriends car and i need some help, anyhthing u guys could suggest would be great...

First off everytime you try to start it, it never works and just keeps wanting to turn over and doesn't until about the 3rd-5th time. Everytime you go to start it, it does this this car is old and has 230000kms on it. any help????

Just lately her transmission hasn't been shifting either smoothly when first started and shift into park sometimes i have to stomp on the pedal a couple times before it actually shifts and gets going, does this for alittle while, then after driving seems to go away... any suggestions? is the transmission going? how expensive are those to get a new one? and how hard to install if so?

I have car general car knowledge never worked on a mustang before though...

please help so i don't have to start driving my girlfriend around everywhere haha thanks!

Clean your IAC, do a tune up, change the fuel filter and wait for the transmission to engage when you shift it to D or R

The sad thing is, with 15 PSI, straight back exhaust, and a bobs log, it still feels slow...

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster

I would test your starter solenoid for your starting problem. As far as the Transmission problem mine did the same thing when it was low on fluid, get your fluid up to normal and try driving.
