trans though.
Check that converter snout for wear where the seal rides. If it's bad, now is the time for a speedy sleeve. I R&R'd a 700R4 4 friggen times because it kept pouring
trans fluid out of the inspection cover. Turned out to be a bad weld where the snout meets the converter body. But before I found that, I polished the snout with emory cloth, put a speedy sleeve on the snout, even shimmed between the converter and the flywheel to get the seal to ride on a different part of the snout. Bottom line is that yanking the
tranny out is no picnic. Do what you need to do to only do it once.
