Ok, I messed up. I pulled the ignition control module out of my 1993 which was running but had a transmission leak and put it into my sons 1991 2.3 which had a bad ICM (ran but ran rough). Unfortunately, my sons mustang broke a fuel line which leaked on the exaust and burned the car down! I put the ICM from the 91 into the 93 just to move the car, but no spark! I went and got a new ICM still no spark.(checked the new one, it was good). My question: why would I get no spark since all i pulled was the ICM and replaced it with a good one? I checked the wiring from the ICM to the coil packs, all good.

If I am understanding you the '93 had not been driven while the '91 had the ICM. Wanting to "move it" also meaning it had not been driven in a while.It is possible the '93 probably has something else causing no spark that developed while sitting. Unless the ICM got fried during the '91's fire. Possible wiring melted causing short to take out the ICM. AND either the new ICM is defective or installing the 1st bad ICM cause damage to the ECM and now even a good ICM won't work. Good Luck
