Default 1990 Mustang 2.3 LX - Fuel Problems - Won't Start

So I'm back again. Today I got the fuel pump installed and got my transmission work all done. I went to crank it up and it will not start.

After a unsuccessful attempt (it will crank just not start) we let it sit checked belts, timing, spark plugs (they weren't wet) then we tried it again and fuel (it is for sure gasoline) started leaking from two spots and I'm not sure what they are. One is a "black box" located on the passenger side near the front, bottom of the engine bay, this was a gush of fluid, not just a leak.

Then a leak was seen from two lines above this "black box".

Any help would be greatly appreciated even just to identify what these parts are. Pics should be attached.

If it is blocked whats the best way to check this? What's the method for "flushing" the fuel system.

Sorry for the stupid questions, it's just I know very little about fuel systems.

disconnect your main fuel supply line, turn ign. on,see if you have flow there,if so its clear.reconnect.disconnect return line at engine, ign. on,fuel flow out of fuel rail?if so ,clear.reconnect.disconnect main hose at charcoal canister, follow it to tank and disconnect, blow air through it to see if clear.you may want to do this to the return line also.there is also a breather hose at the top of the tank also, check it...hope this helps.

I forgot about this till now but there is a piece I found on laying next to the tank when I put it on and I am not sure where it goes (tank was taken off by previous owner). Pictures are attached below. There is also a half inch to 1 inch hole near where the fuel pump goes in that I'm guessing is where this goes but I don't see another line coming off the car to hook this up to.

It goes in the top of the tank, there is an emissions line underneath the car that needs to be hooked up to it, you may have the wrong line hooked up to the fuel pump if the line to that (it's the vent valve, the hose it connects to is supposed to go to your charcoal canister) there are three lines total, two to the fuel pump/hanger assembly, and one to that vent valve.
