I just bought a 1992 Mustang LX with a 2.3L engine. I wanted to know where I could find a turbo for it and how hard is it to install.

You should go to a name brand company such as Turbonetics and have a custom one made. Depending on your budget, you can technically go find a used Evo or STi Turbo (used being couple thousand miles on it) for cheap as well..

As for installing.. It really isn't too hard but you do need to know what you're doing. There is TONS of plumming (piping) for turbo's and it all must be done perfectly. I really would not recommend installing it yourself unless you are a mechanic.

The turbo and intercooler (If you go intercooled) is the most expensive part, but don't go cheap!

Check your local junkyards, 1983-1988 Mustang/Thunderbird/XR4Ti 2.3 turbo engines are still plentiful enough to find them there, you'll need the whole engine assembly, wiring harness, and computer though, as your '92 2.3's internals are not up to the boost of a turbo, and the '92 2.3 is of the dual-plug/distributorless ignition variety, meaning the factory Ford turbo gear wouldn't fit.
