Default What is the lighest 2.3 stock cast iron exhaust manifold? 1990 Mustang

I race a 1990 2.3 (oval track) and we have to run a stock cast iron exhaust manifold. I am currently running a 28lb Ranger exhaust manifold. We can not cut or lighten stock parts and headers are not allowed. Apparently there is a rare stock 2.3 Ford exhaust manifold that is 10-12 lbs lighter - it looks like a cast iron "header". Can anyone help me or send me in the right direction? Thanks!

mid-90s Rangers actually used a tubular steel header. Mustang IIs and pintos used a manifold that would probably save ya 3-5 pounds. Those are the only two that would be any lighter (and I can't guarantee that the Mustang II one would be...)

Dual plug Mustangs (91-93)had a nice cast iron exhaust manifold. If you took the heat stove off it looked like a header that was webbed between the tubes. I believe it was a thinner casting than some of the earlier manifolds. I've often thought it was odd that the Rangers in the same model year got the tubular exhaust, but the Mustang still got the cast iron manifold.
