Default 1992 mustang timing belt replacement

I have a 1992 Mustang 2.3L and broke the timing belt. I'm having trouble getting the cover off, and need info for setting the timing. Thanks for the help.

Hiya, I see this is your first post. Welcome to the site.
I'd suggest getting either a Chiltons or a Haynes manual, that will give you a step by step process on how to do it. Either that, or one of our 2.3 members can help you out.

Hi, i have a 92, haven't been fortunate enough to have to change the timing belt yet, but my chilton's manual says to get the cover off you need to: 1) take off the auto belt tensioner and accessory drive belt, also the upper radiator hose. 2) remove crank shaft pulley bolt ane pulley, also the thermostat housing. 3) remove the timing belt outer cover retaining bolts, release the interlocking tabs.

then it should come off. I would be careful with the cover i've hurd they like to break. Hope this helps.
