Default 1993 Mustang 2.3: Ranger head & cam vs Mustang head & cam

My 93 vert has a cracked head (long story & no I didn't do it, lol). I am just going to put a used head on the engine til I figure out what I want to do with the car just to get it running again. I have read through some of the threads but still have some questions.
It has a roller cam in the head that was on it, is the lobe profile different on the Ranger cam?
Is there any difference in the head itself?
I also need to replace the lower intake, are there any other differences in the ranger intake parts ie: larger throttle body?
I am going to replace the aircleaner system too, looking for abit better low end power while I am at it if it's possible. Not looking to spend a bunch of money on it right now. If I go ricer hunting with it I'll just build a Turbo 2.3 for it later.
Thanks

The heads and cams are identical through the 96 or 98 Ranger model year. Even then, it's a direct swap

Ranger intake from the head to the throttle body should be the same up through at least the '95 model year.

The sad thing is, with 15 PSI, straight back exhaust, and a bobs log, it still feels slow...

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster

The later model rangers have a better flowing head and intake
valve stems are 7mm this is called a small spring head 1996 + I think. the head will bolt right on. I think you can get the intake to work also and it is really the way to go. I also does not have the water hole in the middle of the intake side this makes no difference to you. Also cam profile is better than the 93 not much but better.
