Angry Does Anyone Know What Could Be Draining My Battery/

I have a 1993 mustang lx auto. hatch and some how the battery keeps dying. I got my alt. and battery tested and nothing was wrong. I just need to know if anyone know a way to find out where my battery is being drained from. Is there a electrical place I could go or something? There used to be one near me, but it went out of business. So, if anyone could help me PLEASE I would LOVE IT. I am a close to just selling it or parting it out if I cant find the problem.

Ok. here is where i start. pull off the negative battery cable, and put a test light between the post and the ground cable. draw will make the light shine. then pull fuses one at a time until the light goes out. then you know what circuit to look at. good luck!

take the ground off the battery, put a test light between the groung cable and ground on bat.i will light up if you have a short...if so,start pullings fuses one by one until the light goes out, then you have found the circuit where the short or drain is....hope this helps..

Hey since you two are still online can you tell me what this part is? My starter cilonoid blew and so did this thing. The boys at Advance Auto said it could be the starter relay but there not sure. It is connected to the positve side of the starter cilonoid and has a black w/ white stripe cable coming from it going into the wire harness. The starter cilonoid is located on the fender. Here is what the top of the "thing" looks like
On second thought I am having trouble attaching it to my file but I could email the 2 pics if you would like.

OHH... OK thats what the guys at Advance Auto Parts said it probably was but they told me to go to a ford dealer to make sure. Do you know where they sell the relays @? And maybe how much they usually run for?

listen to these guys... they're smart. one more thing that might help. Disconnect the batt and just touch the terminal to the post, usually what is causing a draw will make some noise. a relay, a solenoid, a switch. etc. I once had a car that kept dying, I did what I said and found that the power seat control was jammed. Consider things that can draw power without the ignition on.
