Question Does anyone know what the two 30 amp fuse go to on a 1993 Mustang lx?

I have been having battery draining problems and found what I think is the problem. It is the top green 30 amp fuse. I don't have the owners manual and I would like to know where the fuse is connected to. The fuse is fine but whatever it is connected to is draining my battery. If anyone can help that would be great.

I have a 93 lx 2.3, I looked at the onwers manual, the only 30 amp fuse is number 9 per the onwers manual it is the a/c and heater blower motor. the location is near the round looking thing all by its self. I have the owners manual still open in case that is not it and let me know. we can track it down.

Ok, I saw that one on the bottom near the round thing but it is fine. The 30 amp I have is the one farthest to the right and on the top. Does that help?

Here is the pic of where my 2nd 30 amp is. The other 30 amp that is near the round thing is good. Is my "2nd 30 amp" suppose to be there?

if yours hangs the same way as mine with the round thing lowest right: The one you are requesting runs North south far right (top) is #16 20 amp (horn, cigar lighter, speed control)

2nd row (fuse runs north south) far right #18 15 amp (safety belt chime, warning lights, fuel injection circuits, tach, idle tracking air control, choke restart control, cooling fan/ compresor clutch control

Alright, THANK YOU SO MUCH that info helped alot. As you can probably see on my other post I have been having some battery troubles. I was told to check the fuse box but I had no Owners manual to know what was what. Would this explain maybe why my horn and speed control don't work? I think this problem may have happened to the last owner try to fix it but got this far. So could I essentially remove that 30 amp that is suppose to be 20 amp and eliminate the problem?

I am not sure, I beleive the old owner might have placed the higher amp fuse to fix the problem and how it has seeked to you

I had fuse issuethis is going to sound funny but...

My oldest son he was about 3 or 4 was setting in the passagner seat one day heading home from day care ( asking about what does this do and that type of questions. He had open the cover for the cig lighter and was asking questions I thought nothing of it....

next day went to set the curse control, did not work check fuses found that one to be dead replaced itnext day same thing... I am thinking old car new trick that I have to research on why this is happening (wife, great something ELSE wrong with the car) I asked the old greatful father-in-law explained the problem to him and he said check your cig lighter... so I looked and found a penny sittting nice and neatly in the the hole.. Per the son "dad it was a nice place to keep it"

lol

Replacing the fuse to the proper one isn't going to cure anything other than helping to keep your wires from melting. Sounds like something in that circuit is drawing an excessive amount of current so he put in a larger fuse which is pretty dumb. I would get a wireing diagram and check where that circuit goes to.

just to let you know the history of my 93 2.3 lx hatch, My wife received it as a grad gift in 1993 from high school, she ahd then I have it. 2 years ago I removed anything the was rubber on the car a replaced it with poly rubber, lowered with ebauch ( spelling?) replaced all bearings under the car new fluid, pulled the 2.3 it is now a 2.5 ranger header 2.5 exhaust with flow master only. new carpet. The only thing it needs is paint... any questions just ask also cross drilled rotors front new rear end

list goes on

Hey PCFRISCH, what I meant was I was going to remove the 20 amp fuse that was draining my battery to see if that would work. Is that the wrong thing to do or will it work? I have a Haynes Repair Manual do I just see where that fuse goes to?
