From my understanding the window of adjustment in the computer is too small, meaning it's reading data from that MAF, then refering to data tables that don't contain the data necessary to make the correct adjustment since it's out of range so it can't adjust all the way to make the proper a/f adjustment.
The flash tuners rewrite the data table so the computer can access relevant data in order to make the proper adjustment. Geeky, yes, but I think that's the senario.
I'm glad you jumped in, I didn't want to type all that.

Good deal! Hopefully you can build an ongoing relationship, a tuner (person) is a wonderful thing to have!

They mentioned GMs and Hondas on their site... maybe they neet a S197 to learn on? (such was the case for me back when...)

PS. My +600 HP car has lights and siren and is certified by the Ohio Fire Marchal...

If you get them Jet Hot coated it will help to reduce underhood temperatures some.

I'm doing well thanks. As for the car, as my Avatar indicates, I sold the Redfire GT and bought a Roush 427R. The weekend you had to work when we had the AFM-Cincy Get Together, the Roush Bug bit me when we went to the mustang car show on Sat. at Gen. Butler State Park. And I had just had the Zex and FRPP suspension added to the Redfire...oh well, what's money good for anyway but spending, right!!!!

Sorry for the
