I suppose they just weren't loud enough. They are good if you want more sound, but also want to keep the neighbors friendly.
Maybe for the more mature owner.
Mine were on sale over Thanksgiving for $250 new. This might be the chance to pick up a set for cheap. I don't understand the "supreme" tag.

Or maybe even as an adjective
I have the GTA's (manufactured by Supreme Performance Exhaust) and absolutely love them: Review of Ford GTA Exhaust
Yeah, I thought about that after I posted, just left it alone.
I am definitely keeping the GTA's on. Enough sound to please me and quiet enough not to blast the neighborhood.
I hear inconsiderate a-holes going by all too often.
I see an ST1300 in your avatar. You got any other bikes? Good ones? (ha-ha)

I know sound is a very subjective thing. I'm an old coot and am way past wanting the straight-pipe noise. The GTA's provide a great sound at idle, a nice bark at WOT but zero drone on the highway. They might be too tame for some owners but they're perfect for me. Sold the ST1300 a couple of years ago. I've owned 39 bikes over the past 43 years (lots of pics on my web site) but recently gave 'em up after a close call with a Hill Country deer (I'm in Georgetown, TX). At least I'd walk away from a Mustang-vs-Bambi collision...

Jack, it will be 40 years riding for me this summer. I can't see giving it up. I've hit two deer and survived both without crashing. (Knock on wood!)
The Mustang is a new experience and I am enjoying it immensely. But when I get out to the twisty roads, a bike is what I want.
I've got three bikes right now. An '85 K100RS BMW that I've had for 23 years. A '96 Ducati 900 SS/SP I've had for almost 12, and an '05 BMW R1200ST, almost 3 years. All bought new. I live in NE Austin off of Parmer Lane, so we are almost neighbors.
Keep the shiny side up.

According to your profile, you're no spring chicken either Reaper....hahaha
I bought my GTA's in July on eBay for $155 + shipping ($26). It was a damaged box sale. There wasn't anything wrong with the axle-backs though. I love the sound, not too crazy at low RPM and nice at WOT.

Your right about that. Maybe the G in GT stands for Geritol.
Ain't it though? When I showed up with a red Mustang GT some of the folks at the church where I serve as a minister accused me of going through a mid-life crisis. Could be, I said. If so the crisis started when I was about 14.
