Default S197 Mustang GT... Are all long tubes for off road use?

Are all the LT's for s197 for off road use? Do I need to have my tune redone if I go with some LT's? I am currently running the Bama 93 tune.. I would like to go with a 3400 stall , 4.10's, one piece DS and the LT's .. Hopefully it would make a decent difference....

Thanks

All Lts are for "off-road" use, but we know most people that get them might not even see the track, so it depends mainly where you live, and what your emissions laws are. You will probably need a retune, but it wont be as critical as with a CAI, for example. If you get all that done at once, you will definitely be happy with the results.

I live where they only perform a safety inspection and a visual for the emissions. I had Dynatechs on my 99 camaro, just weren't sure how close they read into the rules..

You will need to retune because you will start throwing codes and it will mess up your AFR.

It all depends on your emissions O/R pretty much is no cats. I live in CA with the most strict emissions and I am running LT's.

I like Kook's, I just got mine installed today.

Here is the biggest thing with LT's you want Stainless Steel. BBK is mild grade steel which rusts, so you have to get it ceramic coated.

Were JBA, Stainless Works and KOOKS will not rust. You cant go wrong with any of them.

Basani's to me is over priced to me. A lot of people are running Kooks and are happy with them. They seem to be one of the most popular LT's I have seen on youtube as well.

the only problem you might have with the long tubes is even if you use a catted mid-pipe the long tubes move the original cats from their position.
they may give you a hard time on a visual inspection.
With the mods you listed you will see a big difference in performance.

Do you plan to run cats or go with an o/r midpipe?

Most catted midpipes will pass a dyno test but won't pass a visual if they're really looking.
