If you want the brace with engine torque limiters, CHE is it. BMR doesn't make anything similar...

when shifting from 3rd to 4th for some reason it goes into 2nd gear
I'm guessing it's because you put it there. Call me crazy.

Looks like you are in the clear. I'm sure if something was broken you would have known it pretty quickly.

Actually, your tires locking up like they did probably kept your engine from passing red-Probably wouldn't hurt to give your rear tires a pat on the back.

I have not done this yet but I have ground the 1st to 2nd shift a few times so I'm probably going to do an oil change on the ol' 3650 within a few thousand miles. (Probably at 20,000-got 15,000 on it now.)

Everything is normal at the moment but I was told by a reputable, experienced transmission guy in my area that if you drive these cars hard and have 'mis-haps' like grinds or mis-shifts it's a good thing to change the oil frequently to keep metal particulate of any kind out of the system. I think he mentioned a magnet that would also need to be cleaned but I glossed over that... apparently metal particulate can wreak havoc on many things in the tranny, especially the syncros for obvious reasons.

I'll be digging around the forums here but do you guys have any fast recomendations for oil to use in my 3650? Also.. what will help with clipping 2nd gear on a spirited 1st to 2nd shift?

I think it's mostly me being lazy because since I've been 'more aware' as of late it's not been a problem. I'm going to watch the thumb placement like someone mentioned earlier and hopefully I can find some other solutions to make the 2nd gear grind less prevalent.

I was about to write this. You can DEF hurt the motor by over rev doing something like that. it happens so fast and so violently the rev limiter can not help.
