I know what you are talking about. The RPM don't come down fast enough when you shift gears. When depressing the clutch the engine keeps up the RPM for another second before dying down the way it should.

I realize that it's annoying but it's designed that way to prevent stress on the drivetrain. There are a couple of dashpot settings that can reduce (not eliminate) it. You can't get rid of it entirely or you end up with engine failsafe problems.
Hey Mark with all the engine work you did, you still have that program in your car ? Just wondering.

Makes me feel like a kid every time.
Ok, I may be hijacking, but can someone explain exactly what is throttle response? I press the gas, the car goes. It seems like some people are getting a delay in between the time their foot hits the accelerator and the time that the car actually goes. If I look at my pedal too hard, the car will move. It also seems that a tune will eliminate this problem as well. Both the Brenspeed and Bamachips tunes make the pedal extremely testy. I have to really ease on the gas at a light to keep from taking off like a rocket.
So am I on the right track with what I'm saying? I'm just looking for clarification to see if I have an actual problem.
There is throttle lag and throttle delay (or response). Throttle lag is the time it takes for the revs to fall when you lift your foot to shift. Throttle delay is that little bit of deadspace when you touch the gas. Most of these cars have a good 1/2" of pedal slack before the pedal actually senses it.
