2007 Mustang GT...Long tube headers and lowering springs.
I want to get some Long tube headers with a matching catted
x-pipe. Narrowed my choices to SLP or Kooks. Next mod will be Tokico D-Specs and lowering springs. What lowering springs will work with these header/mid-pipe combinations? I would also consider an o/r mid-pipe, if that's the only option that will work lowering springs. Thanks for the feedback.
kooks are great headers. Check out my the thread I made about the video. You can hear them really nice.
I have been told buy many people that they seem to be the highest quality they have seen for this car and it has been buy many installers. That is the reason why I went with Kook's.
Thanks for your responses guys. Hey Tact Out, those are some sweet pics! It looks like the hi-flow cats on your Kooks x-pipe hang just slightly below the frame rails, but I can't tell if your stang is lowered. Do you have any clearance issues? Your thumbs up for Kooks is matched by the folks at Brenspeed-they think Kooks makes the best headers too.
The ARH and JBA's probably have the best ground clearance. The SLP's are about the worst for ground clearance, but are some of the longest in tube length.

I would place money that the SLPs are the absolute worst for clearance (with cats). But those suckers are long!

I dont think the clearence issue my car was with the LT's...The collectors do hang alittle low, but the problem with my set up was the Cat/mid-pipe. The cats were lower then the collectors, and the bracket for the mid-pipe (passenger side) was just as low.

You're right, it's not actually a header problem, it's those giant can-shaped cats.
I just installed SLP long tubes. I'm waiting on the UPs man to deliver the x pipe and cats. Hopefully I don't have any ground clearance issues. I'm still all stock on my suspension.

thanx my front is lowered and inch from springs but then its slammed from the cast iron block and the supercharger so I would say another half an inch. I am not there to drive my car right now but there should not be any reason for concern from what I have been told
Bassani L/Ts and Bassani hi-flow cats with Bassani X-pipe Tokico D-specs, Steeda clubspec springs. If I stay away from tall speed bumps and short steep driveways I'm fine.
