At what meliage are most of you changing out the plugs? Are you mainly doing this because of the carbon build up issue around the lower end of the spark plug.
Did mine with the Whipple install at about 13K. Would of done it anyway to avoid high mileage carbon build up. There was some very effective Internet hysteria about changing the plugs, but in reality the came out easy as pie. Just don't force them and use a torque wrench to remove and limit the force applied. This will insure that the force used will not exceed the force holding the plug design together.

Are you guys getting the Champion replacement plug at decent prices. Most I have looked at are $16-$25 each and I stumbled on a wholesale site and their actual cost is $4.50 each.

I just paid $12 each so I'd make sure that you have the right plug.
Just changed to the champion plugs about 2000 mile's ago and changed the coil connecter's to the moto-blue one's. no problem getting the plug's out just let the engine warm up about 5 minute's. stock coil connecter's two of coil spring's streched out. Good thing i had the moto-blue one's or i would have been making a trip to the dealer. car run's great feel's like it's a little smoother at idle not as choppy. Used to get what felt like a little flix will waiting for my son to get out of school. All gone now very smooth.

Good to hear. Mine are sitting on a shelf awaiting install when I get back from my Air Force temporary duty.
Here's a few pic's of the coil spring's. 4 came out ok 4 where streched out pretty good. So beware when changing plug's. i didn't musle out the coil's either. One more question what is this metal plug in the middle of the spring and what is it's purpose.
what do you recommend guys for moderately modified gt (C&L CAI, throttle GT500, motor blue under drive pollys and coils, long tube ceramic headers, x-pipe)

You need a stock heat range plug. Either the Autolite HT1 or Champions (part #7989)
