Default 298ci vs. 302ci shortblocks

Hi, I'm still shopping around for shortblocks and I noticed that livernois builds a 298ci shortblock for about the same price fox lake racing quoted me on a 302 shortblock. I'm just curious whats the advantage to the 298 over the 302, I'm no expert on engines so if I'm missing something please let me know. thanks.

i've read, that you can keep the
knock sensors, if you go 298.

The jury still seems to be out on the knock sensors. I've read where some have had problems with getting rid of them and others who haven't. Obviously, you will get a few more cubes (I don't know how big of a difference 4ci would make) and a bit more power.

I would personally take the 302, but that's just me.

All I know is that my MMR 5.0 stroker 302 is making some retard strength power with prochargers smallest blower.
