I just checked the voltage, and it moves between 1.20 and 1.21. Should I mess with it? I still get the wrench light, and have been unable to fix it so far in the tune.

I am ready to get another TPS sensor & have my dealer put the fruggin thang on. My recent computer/tuner problems began right after I "had to" put this over-priced paper weight on,... & off & on & off. Oh, & I'm going SCT/Bama !

That voltage is fine but that doesn't mean the TPS isn't failing.

The TPS sensor is a 2 min DIY job. Two torx screws.

What is the point in installing the bigger throttle body?? Ive heard they do nothing for increased performance as the engine can only take in so much air. Excuse me if I am wrong, just sounds like alot of work for nothing.

Generally true unless you are either FI or have the heads and cams to support the extra air.

It's definitely true. I bought the boat anchor before I learned that it won't do much, except with FI, heads, cam, etc. I have it so, I figured ... well, put it on. I lost the receipt , so , it's mine.
I asked the service guy what he thought & he said that it was probably the actuator (?) on the other side of the TB., not the TPS. Unfortunately, it is not available from Ford.

I'm kind of on a mission now. I can't let it win.

True. The actuator motor is olny sold as part of the throttle body. Check your local salvage yard.

i know im bumping an old thread here, but can anyone tell me what you guys used to attach the CAI to the larger throttle body? i just picked up one from a 6.8 V10 (60mm) and when measuring around the opening it would need a silicone hose 5.0" I.D. to fit on the throttle body. my C&L intake is 4 or 4.5 (haven't measured yet but i KNOW its smaller).

I looked around on ebay and such, but haven't found any reducer hoses in this size.

halp!

Google this: Hose Techniques

They have any kind of hose you could need.

I used a rubber reducing coupling from the plumbing isle at Lowe's. Worked perfectly!
