Hope is not lost. Thanks to thorough research, I have found rotors for the front and rear that are bigger (14") and allow you to keep the stock calipers.

I guess the question is is "bigger" necessarily "better". I might be missing something but it seems that the answer to what to do about brakes (if anything) really boils down to the answers to a couple of simple questions: (1) how do you intend to use your vehicle (e.g., strip only; daily/occasional strip; daily & some SCCA or similar road course use; etc.) and (2) is there any relevant data regarding differences among the various brake (read rotor and pads) options available that suggests that you should make one change or another from the OEM setup.

I'm definitely no brake guru, and won't even act like I'm one. I really just like the look of the drilled ones, but the factory brakes look so small with my 20" rims. A 14" set would look really nice with my particular setup. It may not for someone else. I'm not overly concerned about performance; I'm confident that a set of aftermarket brakes will do just as good if not better job than the stock ones, which are perfectly fine for me now.

Now if I can just find that $1500......

Is it I can install the ROTOR of a GT on a V6 without changing anything else?

Front - Ford Mustang - 4.6L GT; 12.4 in. Dia
versus
Front - Ford Mustang - 4L Base; 11.5 in. Dia

I believe so. I think they are a direct OEM replacement.

If all you are lookin to do is fill up your 20's and performance isn't the driving force do the GT500 brakes. They look a lot bigger, the caliper looks a TON bigger and they are a touch better. I got mine for $750. Not that bad as far as money goes. You would still have smooth rotors though.
