But he's not get a lean code.

That is a lot of air for a motor that is not ready for it.I do not know if it would affect some sensors or not.

So you're saying it's not tuned for a CAI?

I think it is not a safe tune.

Brendspeed nor Bamma do not reccomend tunning the car with the airraid like that. That must mean something. They both do a lot of Airaid intake tunes.

ok so ive got the insert back in and ive set the tune accordingly. im going to try the car for a week and see how it goes.

on another note.. i was talking to a friend of mine who moved halfway across the country from me, but she was a ford tech where i bought my car and has access online to fords information etc, and i think i might have had a touch of dyslexia when i wrote down my codes. i kept saying p2150 and she told me that it wasnt a good ford code for 2007 mustangs, and that if it was 2105 it would make a lot more sense. P2105 is throttle actuator forced engine shut down, and come to think of it one of the 2 random codes that sometimes came up was p2106 which is throttle actuator forced less power... something along that line.

that would make a lot more sense to me. still a problem, but obviously in the throttle system which i tampered with. now if i get the codes again im going to double check and write them all down and start this all over again. god i love cars haha

It would seems to me that it would be the throttle body if this does not fix it.

2105 makes more sense. You may need to check your voltages to make sure you don't have a TB problem.

well so far its been acting fine with the insert in and tuned down. but like i said before it used to do the same thing with the big tune in so im going to give it more time.

i really dont like the power loss its got compared to the big tune. i think i might have lost 10+hp... maybe its just me but i really feel a difference.

would it be wise to upgrade the fuel system if i wanted to run it on the big tune? or should i maybe look into an SCT tuner or diablo sport... and throw away the hypertech?

There's no value added to upgrading anything on the fuel system at this point. When you start getting upwards of 378-370 rwhp then you might start needing some fuel work.

Mike just wondering if you have any cams and delete plates installed?

nope, ive never touched the engine other than the CAI and TB. i just got back from another good cruise around the city and the car is acting perfect. only a slight idle surge once in a blue moon but i can live with that.
im thinking now that you might have been right and the tune was to much for the stock set up. i would really like to get more out of this engine without putting cams in it at this point, what would you guys recommend? im really REALLY debating on changing to a better tuner after all this crap.

whats the most power you guys have heard of from one of these motors without power adders like nitrous or a blower and without opening the engine up? would 400hp at the crank be out of reach? i plan on going to long tube headers and offroad x pipe, we have no emission laws where i live yet.

like i said before im new to this modern engine game, im only 27 but ive always dealt with older muscle era cars so im still a newbie and learning as i go.

400 to the crank is about 350 to the wheels and it's doable with boltons and cams. To get to where I'm at, 456 flywheel and 408 wheels, does take considerably more investment.

You need to be at 350 rear wheels or better and I would recommend better to take out that Venturi Tube. I am only tring to help.
