Default MIL eliminators

I see many threads with everyone discussing how to pass emissions with no cats and everyones answers are to get a tune. why not MIL eliminators? they're cheaper. by alot. and they worked great on my last 2 mustangs. am i missing something? do they not work with our cars? im getting an o/r h pipe soon and i am curious myself. thanks in advance

Honestly, it's because MOST guys are getting tuners which come with the capeability. MIL eliminators are great for those not getting tuners. I plan on getting a tuner and don't want to waste my money for the MIL wires. I will deal with the light for a couple weeks.

ahhh i see. the only thing holding me back from a tuner is if it actually will let you still pass emissions. i seem to hear different stories from everyone

There's nothing wrong with just the MILs it just depends on what your other mod plans are. A lot of people start with a CAI and tune and go from there. The tuner will allow, when programmed, for exhaust upgrades and the like. If you're really only planning on the o/r pipe then you're fine. If you think you'll be adding lots of mods it would be more cost effective to get a tuner so you can compensate for all your go fast goodies.

I know they don't work on the 07s but yours I don't know. I have a tune that turns on my rear 02s for emissions.
