Default How do I get rid of Mildew Smell?

My passenger window was down during a light rain shower a few weeks ago. Now my car smells horrible - like mildew.

Any suggestions on how to remove the smell? I tried Febreze, but it didn't work.

Thanks for your help!

Try sun light, not just the air but sun light. Works in sail boat cabins.

They sail moisture eaters that you can hang in your car that draws the moisture in to a collection bag. Can't remember what they are called right now.

You might try using of those Arm&Hammer baking soda boxes that is designed to be in your fridge. You open the panel on the side and just leave it in your car. It has a filter type material that exposes the baking soda but does not let it out. I use them on my boat when I put it a way. It seems to do the job.
