Default Cost to paint hood

Can you guys give me idea of what the cost of getting a Saleen hood should be? The hood is currently black, that is the way I got it. I want it painted grabber orange like the rest of the car.

His question was how much to paint the hood though it wasn't worded quite right in the post.

Good question. If the hood is already finished and there are no fitment problems, prep should be minimal.

I was quoted $500 to paint the hood w/ another $200 to blend in to the fenders. This was paint and prep an unpainted fiberglass hood and the shop is a A+ level body shop tho and they're high. I doubt you'd need the blending w/ the orange vice my sonic blue and your's isn't as old so $500 or less.

I would highly recommend blending on any paint job. do not take the cheapest way out as paint lays down different on each panel. Unless you can get the exact batch that wa sused to paint your car originally, even then you may see a difference. I have been painting for over 15 years now.
