The Eibach Pro Kit is the same for 05' to 08' GT's and it will drop the car 1.3" Front & 1.4" in the Back, keep in mind though that when you drop the car due to the 3 link/panhard bar set up in the rear you will require an ajustable pan hard bar to correct any misalignment of the rear axle due to the suspension geometry being changed. Likewise for the front you will require a Bump Steer kit along with a wheel alignment. Keep in mind this is the right way to do it and not everyone is willing to do all this.

You also have the option of using "drop spindles" up frontand lowering springs in back. Although more expensive, the drop spindles have the added advantage of NOT requiring the separate purchase of a bump steer kit AND not otherwise affecting your front end geometry (i.e., requiring a caster/camber adjustment).

(in case you're wondering, the above spindles aslo fit the V8 GT)

You won't rub the fenderwells with 20's and the kit. The PH bar is a must to keep your axle centered. It may move, it may not. But it's better to be safe than sorry and avoid premature tire wear.

I've heard both ways with the bumpsteer kit. I would personally say that it isn't necessary, but I'm no suspension guru either. I haven't had any problems related to lowering the car and I don't have one. Same for many members here. Purchase at your own risk.

Eibach is the same as the FRPP kit that I have. I have shelby 18's and they ride pretty harsh. If I had it to do again I would go 20's and use the Steeda ultra-lites you will be much happier. Do a search and see how many people have them. I didnt need a panhard.

I purchased my car from from a guy who had put just about 6500 mi on it in two years and had installed the eibach lowering springs before passing it off to me.

How will I know if he "did it right"? What visible cues can I look for on the suspension to make sure everything is set up properly?

I seem to get excessive wear on the outside of each tire, but only at the very edge. Is that an indication of a toe in on the alignment from not finishing the job or is it as he said unavoidable?

Also, I seem to exceed the travel of the springs when I hit large potholes (happens with an audible noise that makes me cringe!). I can never find new damage to the under-carriage so I think it is the suspension and not bottoming out. Does this happen to anyone else with the eibach pro kit? Will this cause immediate damage to the suspension or is it normal wear and tear?

Sorry for drifting on the topic but as always thanks for your help!

It will lower you 1.5" rear and 1.3" front . You won't require a bump steer kit but you will likely need camber bolts or plates and an adjustable panhard bar.

i have the prokit and 20's...no rubbing at all and am happy with the ride quality..not happy with the brake perforance due to the increased weight from the rims though..it's worth it overall though in my mind..I didnt require the PH bar as my rear end is actually very close to center after installing the springs (one of the lucky ones!)..you won't have any problem with the rim/spring combo..

You could try a set of the Hawk HPS pads.

This is the first time I've heard of drop spindles!

Will they work with lowering springs? How will the OEM springs respond to the additional compression?

Your Stang looks really nice.... Love the stance and the wheel combo. Where did you get all the Shelby Conversion parts for they really make a nice package in that color but then I'm a bit partial for mine is the same color.
