Default Not your average Tuner question

I have tried looking in many posts and may have missed it. A question for those who installed programmers. I have Borla axle backs and an O/R H pipe and love the sound. I don't want to change the tone of my exhaust. My question is, If I install the C&L intake and programmer, will my exhaust sound change?

Thanks.

Not much may sound a bit more aggressive on WOT. It will make it much faster that is for sure.

It might change a little but not much. You will feel a big difference with the C&L and tune

Thanks guys. I have the exhaust sound I want and didn't want it to change. From what y'all said and other posts, the tuner and intake make a considerable difference. I felt a little difference after the exhaust and suspension. Then when I went down in size with my new tires, I could tell a change there. I can't wait to get the tuner and intake.

Will it get louder? Will it change the tone/note of the exhaust? I don't care if it gets louder, I would hate to lose what it sounds like, unless it gets more "throaty" which it is already.

Thanks.

mine changed...for the better deeper... more throaty. I noticed it right away....that was back when I was N/A and also goin from a 87 tune to the 93. if you just do a 87 tune you probably wont notice any difference.

I have boom tube mufflers for about 6000 miles before installing a JLT II with a tune (SCT)
The sound is very deep not aggresive because the mufflers are not empty they come with louvered core (vents).
Now with the tune I found a noticeable diffrerence, the engine seems more breathable but the muffler sound seems less deep in low RPM.
So the tune is relaly good for performance but the muffler sound is not as deep as before in low RPM.
The dronning is better now with the tune... good point when driving at 70-80mph.
Am I alone feeling this ?
