Hey Gang,
My 2006 GT Vert is stock. the only exception is a K&N drop in air filter. I just added a Diablo Pedator 93 octane with firm shift tune. What is the normal rwhp and fwhp for a stock 2006 GT, and what kind of increase should I see with the K&N drop in and the Diablo tune? Oh, I almost forgot. I added a Corse X- pipe also. Just curious, I have never dyno'd my car.

Autos, bone stock, average around 255 rwhp. With the tune and X I would expect you'd be in the 265-270 range.
The drop in K&N filter is an improvement over stock, but you seem to be serious and I believe you can do better. A whole new intake, such as the C&L that I have on my GT/CS, would be the way to go. The stock pipe running from the filter box to the throttle body has a tendency to crush slightly at full throttle when the engine demand for air is heavy. You need to address this to get better performance. Once this is installed, your Diablosport Predator will help you again.
good decision not to go ahead with the c&l if you are thinking about gettin a sc. definately go with a kenne bell supercharger. they are ridiculous. expect to spend some big bucks tho.
I have a Kenne Bell 2.6L inteercooled kit on on a 2006 GT auto. My base dyno was 247. With the the 8# boost pulley, I dyno'd at 404. I went to a 9# pulley and Dyno'd at 419. Both of these were with the KB canned tune. I then changed to the 11# pulley and went with a custom tune by Modular Powerhouse. I am now making 448 RWHP. I recently changed the gears to 3.73 and I'm loving my car! No problems with anything to date!

At 11 psi you're approaching the limits on the stock bottom-end.
The KB kit comes with the 8# pulley. You can purchase others gong alot higher! As pointed out, 11#'s on the stock block is pushing it. I wouldn't have done it if not for the trust I have in Modular Powerhouse and their tuning abilities. If you are not goinf to build the engine, I would try and stay at the 9# pulley unless you have a ton of trust in the tuner you are using.
What is the cutoff for RWHP before I blow up? Seriously, what is a safe number?
There are no guarantees but 475 seems to be the agreed-upon safe limit. Though I've seen plenty go higher with no problems and others lower and blow an engine. The key is the tune!
