I already drew up some rudementary prints and it should be fairly simple. I will be using a Brembo reservior and making the "body" on the mill. Add a couple holes, bore the middle and put a bleeder in and it should work out great. When I have the first one done I will take some pics of the parts and then what they look like on the car. I could probably get my shop that does all of my CNC production stuff to knock them out for very little money. I suppose there is no reason people who wanted them couldn't get a group buy or something together and I could have a run made based on those numbers.

That would be interesting to see how it will work.

Thanks in advance.
I spoke with my Ford Tech today and he said their is a fix out their as he has seen the problem on GT's and GT 500's. I will let you know what he comes up with. Unfortunately I did not replace the slave cylinder when I did my clutch as the car only has about 7k on the odometer.

It would have to be. What you need is a slave that moves further than the stock one with the same amount of fluid displacement.

I've been having the same problem since I put the turbo on, except mine does it from first to second also. I go to push the pedal back in and there is nothing at the top half. I upgraded the clutch and replaced the slave cylinder. It was working fine till the other day and it did it again. Hope your ford tech comes back with something good.

Replace with an OEM cylinder?

They are generally good for 80k. That's odd.

Default clutch issues

Took the car into the shop after the problem appeared at the track again. Took the tech out for a swift ride around the block to try and replicate the proble but it would not do it! (of course!) Left it with him and he took it out with another tech but still could not get the car to do what it does for me. Called Ford Tech line and so far nothing. All of the stuff he has on GT 500's related to the input shaft of the tranny. I am installing a steeda tri ax shifter to see if it could be the shifter.

If it continues I will go for the Ram Hydraulic unit over the stock unit.

Heading back to the track tomorrow with a set of slicks so we'll see.

It's all about heat soak. You won't be able to replicate it for the tech till it gets good and hot.

Yea, it's not the shifter: I've had three different ones and no such issue.

Hey Jason, when you get plans drawn/a working model made and working let us know would'ya ? I'd rather not spend $340 + install if it can be done otherwise and for a lot less.

What I will be making may not help the slave cylinder problem. It will make it a lot easier to bleed the system though.

I did leave a message with my guy at Brembo to call me. I need to give him specs on the pistion diameter of the slave. Anyone know of one out of a car? If I can get that number Brembo may be able to supply a master cylinder that will move the slave further. But you eed to pick the right bore and leverage ratio to do this and I don't know all the in's and out's of that.

I am getting my oem slave replaced next week. Somthing I noticed with my car is with the car in neutral when I press the clutch in it is smooth. Now when I put the car in gear and then take it out of gear when I let the clutch out their is a catch in the clutch that you can feel through the pedal. My Ford tech could feel it and it happens when you drive in all gears except the shift from 4th to 5th.

One thing I picked up from some vette guys who have had a similar issue on the z06's that use a hydraulic slave is to switch to a different brake fluid. Vettes use dot 4 and ours call for dot 3, but their are several brands that are good up to 600 degrees. According to the vette boys it helps with the heat soak issue on their cars. Here is a some info on one brand that I found. I am supplying to my Ford tech and when he replaces slave unit he is going to drain the system and put this stuff in. I'll let you know.
