Repair of 2008 GT When I picked up the '08 from body shop guy yesterday, I was thrilled!! (Look out now! A positive post!)
The car looks brand new again! I can't see where the hail damage was (even the questionable one on edge of the hood); no evidence of the dry wall scratches. And I even had him fix a couple spots I had noticed--one on the hood and one on the top of the front bumper. I don't know how to describe them, they just weren't right and hadn't always been there. He said it looked like the dealership wet sanded the area and then put a whole bunch of polish over it so it wouldn't be noticeable and the polish has subsequently worn off. (What kind of business practice is that?!) It's great that my new car looks new again!
BONUS: Although his verbal estimate was $495, he charged me $300!!!!!! SCORE! That's stripes money, baby!!

10" gloss white w/a 1" gap; then 1/2" pin striping with a 1/2" gap

You're right about that!
We've had soooo much hail this year that the sign on body shop guy's door reads: NEXT AVAILABLE REPAIR DATE NOV. 17
