Yesterday I was getting the car ready for a dyno tune today and decided to pull the elbo off and check the throttle plates for cleanliness. Well to my supprise they were completely clean but to my additional supprise I found the bottom of the elbo collapsed. So I took out my OLD trusty hair drier that I DON'T use it for that anymore and heated up that area on both sides and pushed it back into shape and ran some cool water over it and it stayed in place. I put the clamps back on the side next to the small tube again. Well while it was off I decided to smooth the throttle bores but ended up polishing them. That turned out good. I put it back together and took it for a ride and I did notice a difference. I'll be keeping an close eye on it...
I called C&L customer service and they were supprised it collapsed with the screws for the clamps on hte side. So I'm to let them konw if it happens again. Hopefully it won't. They were very helpfull and of corse I asked about the intake and heads. Nothing new, just whats out there.
So you guys with the Racre make sure the clamps screw is on the side where the small tube is. I would also check every onece in a while.
