Thumbs up CHE suspension parts installed and some questions

hi everyone
I've been busy for the last few days installing LCA, anti squat bracket and pan hard bar & brace all from CHE. I still have the UCA to do but decided to leave it a little bit later this week. I have to say I like the quality of the parts and all came with instructions and grease. BTW this my first time installing such parts and I think I did a good job. so for all of u who r hestitated to do such an install by them selfes go ahead just take ur time and make sure u know what u r doing.
now comes the questions part
my main concern is the anti-squat bracket which I belive is another name for LCA relocation bracket. the instructions says nothing about welding it but I'm not really feeling safe about it, so should I weld to the original mounting bracket?
my other question is: the bracket on the driver side seems to be not aligned correctly or a little off balance. is this normal? or should I be concerned about it?
I hope that I was able to explain my questions correctly
and thnx for all

Im not saying not to weld them but I didnt. they look very strong to me and the way they are made fits very nice...it would take alot of torque to bend these. And yes the driver side is a little off on mine too from what I remember.

I didn't weld mine in either because the bolting/heavy duty nature of the brackets are first rate. As I recall, on my set it was actually the passenger side that was a little off but not by much.

(BTW, I took the set on my vehicle off to accomodate my Eibach Pro rear sway bar so if anybody's interested PM me.)

I don't have a set, but I know what they do and I know how they do it. 1 being a little "off" kinda scares me because a little off while the suspension is in one posistion may be a lot off with the suspension in another. If I am guessing what is making them off correctly I would think that having them square would be paramount.

99 times out of 100 bolting them on will be fine. But it wouldn't hurt to go by the local muffler shop and have them tac weld them in there for you. Don't run an entire bead, that will distort things. Just 6-8 tac's per side and that sucker will not be going anywhere.

DO you have any pics? I would like to see what off means. I bolted mine on ,and they are fine. I have been to the track a couple of times ,and had some hard launches , no issues. Did you use some loctite? Did you torque to spec?

If you want to REALLY be certain they don't come off (and with the bolts supplied they won't) do what Jason suggested - gettem tac welded but NOT "beaded".

OK, in my case "a little off" meant that there was an extremely small "notch" that I had to grind off to get a PERFECT fit - no big deal.

I did use loctite (red of course) out of an abundance of caution even though they come with nyloc nuts as I recall. As for torquing, Chuck provides specs as I recall - just follow them.

yes I have used loctite and torqued them to 129 lb
what I mean by off is that the angles were not exactly 90 degrees. it was the same on the driver and passenger side but little more obvious on the drivers. hope that explains it better

Good job using the locite and the torque is good. I know what you mean now. I would still like to se a picture. If you followed the Che directions which are straight forward. You should be Ok. Did you get an adjustable UCA?

Either they were loose or not CHE brackets.

JDM had 1.3 60ft with CHE parts and they were not welded. Put mine on last night, didn't weld them either. CHE are good people and quality products. I plan to be a dealer soon (trying to be a sponsor here too) , and I only sell and use what I believe in.

I believe that they where BMR relocation brackets, and he did not weld them. The BMR relocation brackets look really flimsy, I do not know why anyone would not weld them in.

I know of an even more flimsy one, that I got 60ft out of before I couldn't drive the car. Won't mention on a public forum. But the new ones they sent me will be on Craigslist Detroit.

I'll stay with CHE products. I tried something, and it didn't work.

Yes they were BMRs. That was some ugly pics. The Steeda ones have to be welded. So if and when the time for me to install them I will be welding mine in. Just me..
