depends onwhat you are after. i go for mileage and airflow is everything! but the general concensus is short tubes are for Bling! and longtubes are for performance. the biggest bang for the buck i think is an underdrive pully. freeing up horsepower is cheaper than building horsepower.

oh yeah, one more thing... welcome to the site!

im not the biggest techy around.... i would say let the car breathe a little more... do the xpipe and long tube headers... then move onto the delete plates and stuff.

What are your performance goals for the car? Do you plan to leave it naturally aspirated or plan to add a supercharger or turbo down the road?

1st am really thankfull for all ur replays

actully am not planing for any power adders. yesterday i asked for the same advice from one of the stangers (i love saying that :P) and he told me that headers and Xpipe are worthless without engin adds.
Is this true ??

Long tube headers and an X could get you 20 rwhp with a good tune.

worthless by who's definition? Long tubes and mide pipe combo will be worth around 20-25rwhp, over stock. That might be worthless to someone, but it is a big gain if your staying N/A.

Exhaust is a good place to start, pulleys are also good and cheap and will free up around 5-7rwhp, and make your stang pull a lot harder out of the hole

Cams really aren't worth the investment unless you do the heads too.

if you can afford the headers go for it. I did the pulley and the CMDP did notice some difference. but I'm sure not as good as LT and X

by all means go for the pulleys and delete plates, i'm 100% glad i did them and not headers. i noticed a big difference along with the CAI and tune.

1. they're much cheaper
2. they're much easier to install

i'm installing 4.10 FRPP in a couple of weeks so i'll tell u if thats worth the money but definitely go for UDP and CMDP

You're not doing the gears yourself, are you?

You better have a custom tune above all. canned SCT tunes are not perfect.
then, go for UDP, CMDP and gears (4.10).
after that, UCA/LCA

welcome to AFM!
