Help with the ambient lighting in footrests

just had my mustang for 3 weeks and the passenger red mood color stopped working after the first week. what could it be? all other colors work.

I would guess it's a bulb.

thats wat i thot too at first but then the other day it came on for like 5 seconds ....i forgot to mention that

It works ok on the other side?

yea they all work in the front and bak colors and everything except that 1 on the passenger side

This is silly and off-topic (I'd also check your connections and make sure everything's tight)
but when did ambient lighting become an option in mustangs? '09?

I think it became available in '08, my '08 has it. It looks really cool when you match the color to the dash lights!

To the OP, sound like a bad connection, I would personally take it to the dealer.

Yea, after looking at it, it looks pretty fun, can come off as a tad ricey but everyone who ever rides with me at night loves the color gauges
I also found in my search a DIY walkthrough of how to change out your OEM green LED's in the console and everywhere else...

I think I might just have something to keep me busy over Christmas

The ambient lighting is kind of weak. I purchased the black floor mats w/ the pony tri-bar, I figured that the silvery white pony would glow with the change in color, it doesn't. The pony would have to be further forward to get the reflection. The floor mats would have to be white to show any real color. If passengers have white pants or shoes it looks cool. The only place you can really see the color change is the cup holder. Passengers get a kick out of cycling through the colors once then the novelty is over.
