I read somewhere that all mustangs that had a rub strip on them are past rental cars. Didi you install yours or was it a past rental?

no-no my car was not a rental and i didnt install the rub strip.... i think the canadian mustangs come standard with the strip? maybe some can confirm perhaps?

wholy cow 2005 white s197..... your actually right.... i checked out a whole lot's of pics of some canadian s197's and only one had the rub strip..... i had no clue that this wasn't a standard piece on the car.... hmmm... i wonder if the previous owner put it on after the fact or if it was on from the factory.... either way i dont mind it being there i suppose..... but im 100% sure the car wasn't a rental because the previous owner lives like 2 blocks down from me and he bought it brand new from the dealer.... so who know's what the story is....

I really dont care anymore... when i first bought the car I thought about taking em off... but then I found out im a few bolt-ons away from having the car at 350 forreal!

It's a factory and also a dealer installed option. But all lease and rental orders had them. I bought my GT new off the lot with no side mouldings, my wife's Pony was a lease back and has the mouldings. They look ugly but do a geat job of preventing door dings on the wife's daily driver Pony. Vancouver is a great place to live. My sister lives there. We head out there a couple of times a year (Easter and summer vacation).
