Here in the states, the strip does indeed mean it's a 'fleet car' and that can mean a rental. My Mustang was owned by the dealer, but was not a rental car. SO it had the strip. I removed it because it took away from the classic look of the car. Easy to do as well. Took about five minutes. And left no ill looks, or goo, nor was the paint any different where they had been.

Oh, the white IKEA chair......I had the white covers on my couch for a while and dirt drove me nuts. I broke down and bought the red corduroy (sp?) cover and have retained sanity ever since. Seeing your chair gave me flashbacks.......I need some coffee now.

Your car looks great though, the chair is scary.
