Upgrade stock 2006GT Exhaust to Shelby GT500.

I am thinking to upgrade my mufflers and exhaust system of 2006 GT to Shelby GT500.

The question is

Is this a good idea and how much approximate it may cost me to do it???

Also it is better than the (Borla or Flowmaster & Corsa or other brands)??

Don't think you're going to realize much benefit from doing that. What are you looking to achieve?

you'll see not much if any gain, and the manifolds will not fit 5.4 block vs 4.6 block

better to upgrade to headers and high flow cats(or O/R x-pipe)

because the sound of GT500 is better than GT300, mainly that's why I want to do this.

GT300? I have never seen that listed in a Ford product guide from MY2005 to present.

I agree with others. If you are not adverse to spending some cash, long tubes, h-pipe (cats is your choice) and axle backs. You forget that the GT500 is supercharged, has an x-pipe and slightly more aggressive sounding mufflers. Strictly speaking, you can't get your 4.6 to sound like a 5.4. Heck with all my mods I don't sound like my buddies GT500.
